What is ring spinning?+
Ring spinning is the most widely used method of yarn manufacturing, where fibres are drawn, twisted, and wound onto a bobbin by means of a rotating ring and traveller system. The spinning ring — a hardened steel component mounted on the ring rail — acts as the guide through which the traveller runs at high speed (up to 26,000 RPM), imparting twist to the yarn. Ring spinning delivers the highest yarn strength and widest count range of any spinning system.

Conical rings for worsted frames last 10–20+ years.
What is the difference between T-flange and SPICON spinning rings?+
T-flange (anti-wedge profile) rings are the standard design for short-staple ring spinning. SPICON (SPInning CONical Ring) features an oblique flange race that provides 4–5× more ring-traveller contact surface, reducing heat and enabling 6–13% higher spindle speeds. SPICON requires dedicated Bracker (Switzerland) oblique-flange travellers and is ideal for high-speed compact spinning (Rieter K44, LMW LR60A).
